I wandered in my favorite surplus store at lunch to get an IEC jack and looked on the choke rack.
There in some boxes were an IBM branded 2.7 mH chokes. These are real hefty. The wire looks to be 18 -20 ga. I asked and was told they are 6 - 8 amp. After getting home checking the DCR it is 0.1 ohm on my Tripplett. Looks perfect for my Zen V4, but would most likely work in anything up to an Aleph 5. The best part they were 4.95 each. The IBM part number is 1295575. They are dated 1988. Does anyone known how to get the specs? George |
