has anyone ever try a solid state relay on there amp and are thay anygood?

Yes. They work fine. However, it's cheaper to build one up out of discrete components - Triac, optocoupler, a resistor or two. But then again, it looks like you've already got one so go ahead and use it. What are you switching with it?

i was hoping to use it with one of these so when im not home and my kid is using my amp. if it over heats it will shutdown till it cools. kid likes it loud.
