Pass INT-150 Review in Absolute Sound

The Absolute Sound has a new review of the master's INT-150 in the September issue.

They said the front on view is "As imposing as a Peterbilt" (If you live overseas, think solid giant truck)

Neil Gader went on to say "it's sweet and romantic, neutral and warm". All characteristics Pass Labs forum members have loved with Nelson's designs.

Robert Harley had a side bar and stated that he had to comment after hearing Neil's comments on the integrated INT-150. "There must be a strong family resemblance between the INT-150 and the XA-100.5.

Neil went on to say "It's a musical force of nature."

It once again shows that:
review result = size of advertising contract
If you read this test between the lines you can summarize it as "we don't want to give this amp a good result (as Pass doesn’t advertise), but this thing is simply too good..."

Very strange is: "Die Schaltung mit den ingesamt zwölf Halbleitern, die stereoplay wegen neuartiger Geheimniskrämerei der Amerikaner nun eben selber aus Platinenbahnen und Messungen heraus analysierte..." translates to something like: "
The circuit with its overall 12 semiconductors, which Stereoplay had to analyse on their own from the layout and measurements because of the new secretiveness of the Americans..."

I wonder how much technical information they usually receive from other manufacturers.

That's interesting, the output stages have 40 devices alone, simulating
8 very big devices. In any case we did not receive a request for
information AFAIK.

The situation in Asia has put us in a position where we have problems
putting product schematics on line - it's not that the information is
unavailable, merely that putting it on your website without qualification
reduces your legal position in preventing illicit product copying.

The 12-part talk refers to the UGS5-ish boards, likely the editor wanted to demonstrate he can count.
