The one and only

That's an S300 "Stasis". 150 W/ch, a very nice amp.
I have posted schematics of it at various times, and you can get them from me by email. |

This might be a bit OT but the Threshold Co. does uphold a webpage with all the old models! IMO they would be darf not to
Here is what the reputation builds on: http://www.threshold-audio.com/discontinued.html Lookie lookie, it starts with the famous NS-10......

if you open the hood of the Stasis/300 and take a peek inside your Chiro-200 you should get a rough idea what to expect. No offence, but the Dichiro/Insinilla designs were not exactly State of the Art.

found somebody selling one: Big 2ch amplifier manufactured by Kinergetics Research. Premium build quality, 1kv toroid, huge power supplies. Unit weighs 42lbs. 140watts x2 @ an 8ohm resistance doubling to 280watts x2 into 4ohms. This amp runs extremely cool, and sounds fantastic. There are a few scratches on the top of the amp but the front faceplate looks great. All of the outputs and inputs are nice and tight and are 100% functional. The Acurus and Adcom stuff simply cannot compete with the resolving power and neutrality of this amp. (I have had a 555 and A250) This is a killer amp that will drive almost anything. MSRP: $1000 $320 shipped fedex ground. sounds great! |
