Default pre-out

Hi
I am am building a Zen amp to replace my budget Kenwood receiver which is driving my DIY All-fun Horns (Lowther Pm6a).

Does this amp have a turn on thump which may kill my speakers?
Also can I drive this amp with the pre-out from my receiver for a while while I build bride of Zen. Or does it have to be BOZ.

Thank you
Mark

It has some turn on thumb, but nothing to worry about.

Yes, you can drive it with your old pre, but to drive it well, it will like a BOZ or the like.

I use an inexpensive Adcom speaker selector box to disconnect my speakers while I turn on my power amp, which otherwise makes a pretty scary bump.
Possibly a mildly retarded solution, but it works.

Funny, I was cleaning about 1% the "Indiana Jones" warehouse
today, and came across one. I am sorry to say that I had to toss it.

Mark,

If you are worried about Zen turn-on thump, have a look at the PSU of Zen V9. Works excellent.
