Hey all.
I'm about to start building an F3 (still gotta get a case), but in the meantime, I getting a preamp ready for it. I've already got a DoZ preamp (Rod Elliot's P37 , and yes, I see the irony), and it should match up nicely. It can output about 6V, and has a very low output impedence. The project page for the preamp has a 100K pot on its output, and I was wondering, since the F3 has a 10K input impedence, that perhaps I should use a 10K pot (or stepped attenuator, haven't decided yet) ? I was going to build a JFet BOZ, but this preamp is already assembled, and I don't want it to go to waste |

Have you seen this? It operates on the same voltage as the F3/ZenV9. I think it could be wired to the F3 power supply to make an integrated amp although I imagine it would be frowned upon.

I've actually seen that design
Thing is, as I've already got a completed preamp lying around, I'd rather put that to use than build another one, hence my question about pot selection. (though I do plan to build a jfet based preamp sometime in the near future ...) |
