Actually, I was hoping he would sent me a chassis and PS too, shipped fedex next day. That way I could listen to it before building it.

mike-diy,
I understand that alternative parts and resources for them can be frustrating.

You'll get a hazing for sure asking these types of questions.

I am trying to post a couple of parts resources for others to order from and for the diyGiants to critisize for the better.

My recommendations is to get the heat sinks first.....Can't do anything without them and surplus ones are my recommendation.

The article on the firstwatt.com is there for people who did not by the AudioXpress article. The last schematic has all the parts for the output boards. The power supply in the production amp is a mystery, but likely close to an F4, and recommendations for other regulated supplies are made as well. My other recommendation is to build the Power Supply first, as you dont need heatsinks for that.....unless you have a nice bench supply.

Mouser has Fets, Tech-diy has jfets, mouser and digikey have all kinds of resistors and funky black parts.

Namaste'
Mike

Default I predict Audioxpress will offer boards

mike_diy

This stage in the process includes several steps:
Print the schematic
Get a high-lighter pen & a clean sheet of paper, your "crib sheet"
begin marking the components through with the high-lighter
as you do, write the name of the component you have just marked on your crib sheet
continue until all the components have been transferred to the crib sheet
group the components into categories: semiconductors, resistors, capacit*~///(Mongo! there are no cap's!)...jeez...etc.
begin the search

Some parts will fall into your lap, others will take more effort...you will experience the entire spectrum of parts sourcing
...and those grouchy people above...hard to believe...another spectrum entirely...they are your friends

Guys, what do you think about this board ?

It's meant to be 44 mm x 44 mm in size, and the parts are named after Mr. Pass' schematic and only difference is that I added R71 and R81 (3 x 150R 2W resistors, instead of 2 x 100R 3W as Mr. Pass had drawn - I don't have 3W resistors).

Momentarily I'm in search for 2SJ74/2SJ108 JFETs (beware of Siliconix/Vishay J108 switching JFETs - in local shop they almost sold me those as Toshiba's - they even had the nerve to ask a 4$ per piece).
