Hello Guys,
i would like to know if anybody can give a good advice on a high performance soundcard with XLR/RCA Inputs, true 24bits and sample frequecy 98KHz or higher. I saw that it is possible with ?Visual analyzer or otehr free program and a good sound card to make very cool spectrum FFT distortion and low noise measurements. any good suggestion is welcome.

(There have been two or three other threads about this in the last two months here on DiyAudio).
My advice is look to the EMU 0404 USB 2 external soundcard. Also consider the ARTA software. |

Hi,
As soundcard I warmly suggest a Echo MIA (or MIA MIDI) soundcard. It's a 24/96 low-latence PCI card with RCA in/out with an impressive dynamics, you can easily find a second-hand on eBay for around 100 USD. As alternative visit a musical instruments vendor: it's a pro unit: you won't find it in a computer store! I'm using it since 2002 for my home recordings and I'd never change it with other (even more expensive) stuff! HERE the specs. |

thank you guys.
I am sorry, it's my fault, i didn't say that i have a laptop and therefore i would need an external soundcard. I was actually appealed by the EMU0202. Are the spec of the EMU0404 the same of 0202. Is there a even better version of that EMU0202/0404 soundcard?
