Default My Aleph30 is Completed

I finally completed my ALeph30. Here the serie of pictures. The sound is so gound that I'm having problem listening to any other amp. Thanks Nelson Pass.

Here the mechanical assy is almos done.

Default Here The Heatsink and the Thermal Protection

The one thermal protection on each channel, connected in serie.
They are installed on the heatsink on the hotest side, see the fan option in the next post...

Default Power Supply CRC Filter

Here a side view of the Power Supply CRC Filter. You can see the Panasonic FC cap and bypass MKT4 filter mounted on the transfo. You can also see the CRC resistor 0.5 ohms, 10W, Dale mounted on the bottom frame.

Default Side Open View

Here a view of the side open, one channel not installed. You can see the shielded transfo, The star ground bolted to the bottom, the rectifier bridge also bolted to the bottom and the CRC filter.

Default Rear View Open

Here the rear of the amp opened. You can see the mechanical clearance is rather small. It is really a compact desing. I was limited by the front and rear panel dimensions for reasons that you will see...

Default Front View

Almost done, here the front panel with the blues led power indicator (it matches the BOZ preamp that I used with it).
You can see a nice finish for this panel. The secret, I used two old Hayes modem case that I cut in two. This nice cases were made of aluminium extrusion. I kept only the top section that I used for the front and back. These panels limited the amp width, here the call for the amp being so compact. The panel height matched perfectly the heatsink that I used. Great look I think...
