Willy,
you're welcome to return to your grumpy fatherland and cough up ~$0.30/kWh
(incl. energy tax surcharge, how in Geeh name did they come up with the idea of energy saving tax)
you don't need to return to grumpyland, electricity prices in Germany have already reached $0,30/kWh
working price of course!, the monthly fixed fee adds to that
Regards

I did this once in a product - the bias would come on when signal
appeared or when the amp was turned on and would hold for 20
minutes or so if there was no signal. The distributors hated it
and actually insisted on yanking it out.

I'd always wondered why this wasn't a feature in your amps, as it seems logical to include it with an amp that runs high bias and has a long thermal time constant.

I'd certainly be interested in something like this as a DIY project. I wonder how many others would too? Not suggesting more work for you there NP, just thinking out loud, as I have some class A tube and SS under construction and I think it would be a useful featue, especially as sometimes I listen, then move away from the rig, and come back later. Useful here rather than the 18-22hrs of the day I don't listen.
