Ayo . . .
I have to set up my own living room far away from my family. In my new living room, I plan to have a small music system. So, I'm buying one set of ATC SCM7 monitor speakers. Which diy amp should I consider (I mean one of Papa's)? Any tip? For your info, I don't need big sound. I want a clean and warm music with details, nice voices, good imagination of stage, and deep bass . . . I'm thinking of X-Zen V2 or F4 at the moment . . . Give me a good luck, please! Thanks.

Power hungry . . . ? I need to better understand the meaning of it . . . ATC SCM7 has its size of W160mm x H300mm x D230mm with 84dB/W/m @ 8ohms of closed box with no air vent. The size is a baby. The maker specifies that the baby smiles frequencies of 60Hz to 22 kHz (-6dB). I have read the critics and some users talking about their different impressions particularly regarding bass region performance of the baby. In the bass region, some say, “Yes” while some say, “Maybe”. But, nobody says, “No”. I think the differences might be coming from their different tastes and different power amps driving the babies. In addition, their receptions of the bass quality could be depending on their predominant feelings of the “addictive to the bass”. One Japanese near-field-listening critic feeds the babies with his Krell integrated-amp. He says that the smoothness from the mid to high is very good while he gets tight and firm bass from several sorts of music. The bass is not lean, according to him. Yeah . . . the baby seems power hungry . . . If so, to make the baby feel full, what should I consider? Just a power amp of manufacturer’s specification having simply more than 50W? Welcome any advice.

my babo isn't guy who complicate things ; he take iron and few fistfuls of parts and make amp ; .......................just make F4 and enjoy ![]() or just make that Babofish , because you already have pcbs ; put 2SJ74BL on input , or whatever you have and it will sing...... feed it with your fave cd,dvd,mp3,telephone , whatever and listen that crazy muzak you like to listen

. . . just . . . ? ok, much better than bla bla bla . . . I have thought that the right combination of amp's damping factor and max capability of current supply might solve the power hungry problem. If so, either x-Zen V2 or F4 could be a choice because Zen V2 and F4 have the same DF as well as both do good current supply. Do you agree?
