Figure 5 shows the use of a 300 watt Sylvania bulb. We will later be showing performance of 2 such bulbs in parallel for more bias current

i was not able to find what i would need to go this way. No ceramic sockets, not 600W 220V E27 bulbs. I have one 300, one 500 and one 1000W 220V E33 bulb and no socket.

It works with halogen also.

If anyone has a few nice ceramic sockets and bulbs around 1kW for me...

The first one i built was with some 300W halosticks in parallel and had about 10W.
 
I used some 3x20W 12V in series with my SOZ. I replaced just for fun two 8ohm resistors, and worked just fine!
