ZM, PCB is mostly as per post 687 (guess he is Jims Audio :-)).

Circuit is default as per published (only change is BC550 hfe ~500 & BC560 hfe ~300)

-VE, RCA Gnd, SPK Gnd go to one GND hole on PCB while the other GND hole is connected to PSU gnd via a thick wire.

Will take some pics when i get home

willing to do some simple measurements with DMM ?

absolute precision isn't important , just relative

if you don't have sig gene , download this : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/20665608/SigJenny.zip and use output of PC sound card as gene

set to 400Hz

put DMM in Vac mode at amp input , set PC volume at 100mV , then reconnect DMM to output

write down result

No problem...i can use ARTA, to generate a test signal @ 500mV and test the AC o/p from the amp's out

even better

just stay in 300-500Hz region , because there DMM is precise enough

Ok i'll see whether i can figure that out :-). In fact ARTA as part of the sound card calibration gives out a default test signal at a user specified voltage and then asks to measure the A/C output

disclaimer - it won't work on 64b systems

Zen..ran the test

Input --Sine wave @ 210mV AC both channels
Output- 2.1V AC on both channels.

So 10x voltage gain ~20dB (right)....now what :-)?
