I think it must have been cumulative exposure to all those current sources that he so loves. He found himself unable to follow Yoda's advice to 'let go' and it destroyed him.

Assembled our system is.

Lowther PM6A (Ticonal Alnico) with 16 ohm silver voice coils
driven by 8 watts of F3.

Twin Seas W26 10 inch woofers driven by XA30.5

All mounted in 18 inch wide open baffles with no sides.

Special crossover.

Here's a rear view of the speaker. The rear support
is a dorsal fin down the middle, whic also braces the
baffle against the woofers. The baffle really needs it
with the forces put out by the SEAS drivers.
