Default PLH output capacitor rating

would it be ok to use a 35v rated capacitor for the output coupling cap? as the DC on the output is only 20V.

It's not the 20Vdc that you should worry about, but the 20Vdc plus peak positive voltage swing. I'd say use a 50V to be on the safe side.
