Aleph AX and CCS

HI everybody!

Just a curiousity.
I was wondering if the CCS that controls the differential input- front end stage would have an improvement if, in place of using the common configuration, an LM317 would be used!

Here an interesting 3d where Nordic was comparing the different configuration of CCSs.

has anybody here ever tried the LM on the CCS?
In case, with what results?

I have never been particularly fond of regulators used as current sources--at least in audio gear. If you read further down the page you linked to, you will find a post wondering about the high frequency response. Current sources must show the same compliance at all frequencies or you'll find yourself with some unpleasant sound that you can't quite track down.

So, what would it be a better way of implementing the CCS from your personal experience?
