Hi all!
I noticed a strange behaviour with the BLS posted on passdiy website. When you feed it with a single ended input, the balancd output it's not equal (in amplitude) on the + and - output. I have read on the forum that this is a know behaviour, but me and a friend of mine were interested in having a BLS that acts also as a balancer/unbalacer. We have many bjt and so... What do you think of this? Bye!

Hi Fabrizio,
maybe the high input resistor causes this behaviour. As the generator has an outputimpedance which is fairly lo compared to that 100K I would ground the unused input. Uli

Fabrizio,
If you use the current source "tails" as you've shown in your schematic, the outputs should be much, much closer to each other in amplitude. Erik

I think I'd like some resistance across the base-emitter junctions of the MJE devices.
