A lot of Aleph boards have dual ground connections -- one
for the input and another for "the ground". To his credit, P. Daniel's board has an option to separate the two. I thought that using dual grounds is likely to create a ground loop that could cause hum. In other types of amps circuits (e.g., Leach amp) I see where a dual ground would be helpful to keep input and output stage grounding separate. But this doesn't apply to the Aleph. Can I just keep input ground and do away with the other ground connection ? |

Should have mentioned that I have the ground shielding of my RCA jack
connected to a star ground point. My question is whether I need to have another direct connection from star ground to the pcb. |
