Default ixys diodes on Aleph 5 psu

Hi dear !!!

Can i use 4 ixys DSEI12-06A 14A,600v in bridge configuration
on Aleph 5(stereo) psu ? Anyone tried this ?

In my book the diodes are listed as FRED's and I have no idea if this will work appart from the good current and voltage specs.

Are you asking cause you have the Ixys diodes already, or is the question more like theoretical?

If you still have the choice you could buy MUR3020WT from Onsemi. They need 100R and 0.01uF for snubbers, but will then behave very well.

Hi , thanks for the replies. I donīt have the rectifiers yet .Farnell
has these Yxis diodes. Now i am using ordinary KBPC bridges in my aleph and i want to improve with fasters ones to get better sound i guess.
