Hi, I made a PCB layout for Aleph3.
Being a “pcb novice” I would appreciate any comments on it. The odd size of the board is due to size restriction. I plan to use 2x 0.22R 5w resistors at the output, and 2x 1R 1watt resistors as source resistors. Please let me know if you se any errors or possible improvements. |

Yes, that’s Eagle. I tried various other pcb programs, but I have to say that Eagle is by far the easiest to learn and use.

but here are some comments
r102 and c1o1 too close r110 q104 - too close r114 and cap - try to make it fit better by moving track up a little until the hole reaches a middle of track q106 r116 holes too close generally try to place holes more in the middle of tracks not on the border or corner of them |

Could you post your Eagle pcb file on that PCB here? That would make it alot easier for all of us to have them made if need be.
Thanks! Mark |

Thanks for your comments xsnailx. I have tried moving some parts around as you commented. Attached you will find zipped schematic and pcb layout for eagle. It’s made with version 4.01 so I don’t know if it will work with the newest shareware version. If you run a erc check you will get a pin overlap warning on the diodes. I don’t know way this happens, but it always does when I use bzx55 diodes in the schematic.
