Hey guys!
As promised in another thread, here are some pics of my Aleph 5. I started building it it just before summer holidays, and now just 7 months later, here it is. Hope you like it, because I love it

Pedro,
very nice looking amp. You used a Bulgin switch ??? Those are moentary switches right ? Did you use it in combination with a bistable relais. If so what kind?? Again great looking amp Ralph |

Yes, bulgin switch MP0031, finder 220V 10A relay (used for corridor light switching) SN26028230 - €9

verrrrrrrry nice Pedro! well done.
now how does it compare to that 50 watt SOZ? i'm still waiting on my heat sinks to get started on my SOZ (1st or 2nd week in Feb.) So i'm sure i'll email you soon! put some pics of the inside for this thread too. moe29 |

I just have a 5W SOZ, but I'll make a 15W version of it some day.. I allready have the parts, just need to start building it. Even with 5W, I believe that SOZ has more potencial to be a winner. It lacks the power but no feedback is my kind of game. The lack of power is evident, when you do a side by side test. I have a Audionote valve amp with 9W (300B SE and no feedback also) and lack of power is not so evident, just in the bass department. I guess this aleph is a close match to my audionote, especially after a few hours runnig. I believe that a more powerfull SOZ should be better then aleph 5. (that is an old question, nobody will answer it, everybody will still asking it). another pic
