Hi, I just want to clarify the concept of the 256 steps attenuator used in the ALEPH P1.7 preamp.

- Is it the shunt type?
- Comparing to other generic potentiometers like ALPS or NOBLE, it looks like this 256 steps attenuator has lower input resistance. Is it true that its lower input resistance may cause some load problem for CD players or D/A if we put it in front of the preamp section?

Thank you.
