I am new to amp building; have a few speakers under my belt.
I am going to build the Zen Lite as my first; after a diy preamp. I have read and reread all of Nelson's amp papers and am currently collecting parts for the Lite. I have a question about layout. Can someone who has built this amp give me some hints about how to layout the amp? I would like to build two mono block with two bulbs a piece. Thanks, Matt |

Lay the amplifier out as you see it in the schematic (more or
less) and don't worry about it. The circuit is quite insensitive to layout as long as you put the noisy power supply parts at some distance from the input circuitry. If you saw the layout of the original, you would laugh.

Thank you Nelson. I will do that. I am eager to give this amp project a go.

Zen Lite is a great project! The main issue I can see, is to find the perfect light bulbs for the output stage. ... and with 'perfect' I do not mean what light the bulb shines with, but I mean the optimal electrical qualties of the bulb please, report back, LizardBrain ... and be sure to include some IMAGES
