Hello I recently aquired a Volksamp Aleph 30 and have been very impressed with the performance so far.
The bass seems a little thin but the mid range and highs are much improved over my old amp. As I like to upgrade almost every piece of equipment that comes through my doors, I ask this question: What part upgrades would be beneficial for me to do? Is there a general consensus among owners & tweakers of the Aleph 30 that upgrading /replacing any given parts will make a beneficial change? Thanks KevinLee |

So,
I had a look at this thing and it is built like a tank....well laid out and very good parts used. A couple of things I have considered doing: (1) replacing bridge with fast switching/soft recovery one using Fairchild stealth diodes. I would use 30 amp diodes X4 . (2) replacing internal stranded wiring with my fave solid core cable. (3) parallelling power supply caps with WIMA 1uf and .01uf MKP4 caps. (4) possibly adding another 20000uf per channel. Please give your opinions on doing these things. Would I paralled all the caps in PS (12 pieces) or only once per channel? Thanks Kevin |
