I don't doubt that they'll order in more stock. It just seems odd to me that Mouser would only order in 450. 450? What an odd number. Surely if I were their purchasing manager I'd order in a round number like 500. Better still, 1000, assuming that there's a price break thereabouts.
For comparison, Digikey currently shows over 6000 of the IRFP240 in stock.
The constantly shifting shipping dates quoted by Mouser are also peculiar. For quite some time, they were saying that they would not have the FQA19N20C until August. I even have an e-mail from someone in their sales department saying the same. Then it jumped forward at least twice, and in the end the 450 arrived a week or two early.
This leads me to wonder if the devices are on allocation from Fairchild. I have no information either way--just wondering aloud.
