Hard to find : Laser pick-up KSS 272 A

Hi all ,

Please , can anyone help me to find a new piece of laser
pick-up Sony model KSS 272 A .

I have a Sony CD player model CDP555ESJ , and I need to
replace the defective pick-up .

I could not find it here in Brazil .

Please guys , any input will be wellcome .

P.S. I have tried with Sony ( global assistance ) , Sony America,
Sony U.S.A. and Sony Brazil , without any success .
No consistent replies .

I had a similar problem looking for a KSS270A (884815911) but found the KSS271A (884820911) was a replacement and WES is obtaining that from Sony for me.

Check if there might be a newer replacement from a later model.

It helps if you have the Sony part number when searching for one as you get more hits.

Very frustrating finding these lasers but like you, would not want to give up the player.... mine's a CDPX55ES.

Months ago I had a similar problem with one client’s
CDPX55ES , and I could not get this part to replace , then
he is waiting until now . If you can , please report to me
anything new about that .

I already had made contact with them , and I’m waiting the
reply , if they still have it on the stock .

By the way , do you know if they are a RELIABLE source ???
I am a bit confused with their prices
