Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any really simple to use IC's that could step-up a 3.3v to about 8v and handle around 1a of current or more? The best I can find is the LM2623AMM, but it needs a fair few external components. I would like something as simple as possible to do the job if there is such a thing?! Suggestions appreciated. Even if you just tell me such a thing doesn't exist I want it because I have an unregulated 3.3v line that I want to regulate. So I need to step it up and then regulate it back to 3.3v lol. No other way I can see of doing it, unless there is some wonderful regulator that will manage to regulate 3.3v and not drop more than o.3v? Thanks |

Why would you want to step up the voltage with a DC-DC just to regulate it back down with a linear reg? Just use a regulated DC-DC with 3.3v output.

Since it is designed to 'step-up', will it not dislike having the same voltage on the input as I ask it to output?
Thanks for the link though. I guess it will work just fine |
