hmm. 1k a-a primary, 8 secondary, 300Hz-10KHz. I wonder what wattage this baby can do? Is 300Hz too high to be fixed by NFB? An ultra ultra budget tube amp might be a possibility! 12B4 push-pull?

I believe these are Xicon 42TM013 transformers, or at least similar.. 200mW.

If I knew how to design guitar amps I might try to use a couple 12AX7's to drive a pair of 12B4's. Get some interesting sound destruction from overdriven 12AX7's (grounded cathode, possibly?) and a saturating core... is it worth it? a little PT like the 270FX might work...
