Default RCA plugs......

hi there, i have tried to make some of my own RCA plugs but i think i have mucked it up. how many wires should come out of each RCA plug? i have only one going to a connector. do i need another one to go to the metal cap? Because there's a connector for a wire on the cap

thanks!

One signal conductor + ground = 2 wires. You should use a shielded cable with the shield or the shield's drain wire connected to the metal cap, and the inner conductor connected to the pin of the connector.

Hi,
for ALL electrical connections you need a flow and return.

The RCA connector uses the pin and one wire as the flow and uses the barrel and the second wire as the return. The second wire can instead be the shield of the co-axial cable.
