Hi, newbie getting into the game here. I live in Boston (Eastie if you want to be precise) and am wondering if there are any good places for random components and supplies anywhere nearby, preferably inside 128.
I know there used to be an Active Electronics in Cambridge but I think it's been gone a long time, and the Radio Shack in Central Square was good the last time I was there, which was ~10 years ago. You'd think with the insane nerd coefficient we have around here there'd be at least one place. I don't really mind buying online but you know how it is when you need one steenkin' part on a Saturday morning... |

"You-Do-It" Electronics in Needham is pretty good. Right off 128, exit 19A.

Oh, yes, thought they were more Best Buy but their site lists EPROM programmers so they are clearly a little more geek-friendly.

A little more geek friendly is the understatement of the century! This place is great. Its bad news that I live right around the corner.
