BC546C obsolete ?

I may have missed something, but it seems like the BC546C has gone out of production

What do you use as replacement ?
The BC546B with lower Hfe ?

Isn't that BC546 sorta like the european 2N2222? It would be a crime to discontinue it

It's only the high gain (typ. Hfe=600) C version that seems to be discontinued.....
