"Multicomp" components : are they worth it?

Hi,

Multicomp seems to be Farnell's own brand for electronic components. Their prices are quite interesting where I live, especially for electrolytics and transistors, but can I expect the same level of reliability as with, for example, OnSemi or Sanken ?

If you had some experience with those products, I'd be glad to hear it

I could be wrong, but I thought the 'Multicomp' designation was like 'YMMV', they're from various unspecified manufacturers, and who you get today may differ from who you get next month.

You'll find the actual component has a maker's name and code on it, and it may be a quite reputable name. Just no guarantee it will be Wima or Fairchild.

(edit: Looking at some examples, it does seem to be re-badged, but you can get datasheets.)
