Flameproof coating chipped

I'm using a Kiwame 2 watt 100k resistor in my tube amp, as a plate resistor. It's got a flameproof coating, which isn't really necessary for me as it's in the signal path.

Question is, after I soldered it in I was nudging it a tad into place when part of the flameproof coating chipped off. Not a lot, about 50% of just the "top" area I can see. Underneath is a black cylinder with white stripes on it.

Is it still functional, without that bit of coating? It looks a little ghetto but as long as it'll still work I'm fine with it.
