Hi thank you for the recomendation, but again, I think you missed the point I was making. First, I never had any intention of buying a high end power cable. I always intended to make my own. My point was simply that, regardless of the rating of the products used to create the power cable, according to an insurance investigator, its still not acceptable by there standerds, and he claims is not a UL rated product as he understands the way that system works. He knows insurance won't accept it, and isn't sure if the goverment would. I also know that in my family business its not acceptable for medical use unless built by a licensed electrician, which he also said was how insurance companies did things.

The problem in spending much time, effort, and money on equipment power cables is that you turn around and plug it into the wall socket. If one doesn't consider the wiring coming from the breaker box and into the house and..., than it's just an exercise to contemplate and waste time on.
If you already have a cable/wire that will carry as much or more current as your breaker will allow and it has an insulation that will handle the voltage, it's probably safe to use and will work as well as any. If the house burns down, well,... the insurance company is a different issue. UL is the only way to go.
