Default mounting toroids

Is there any inherent problem in stacking toroids in a chassis? Toroids would be individually encapsualted with a single bolt running through the middle and anchored to the chassis. One end of the bolt would be isolated from the chassis to avoid any loop issues.

Thanks

No, as long as you mount them as you say.

Hi,
stacking them will reduce the area exposed to cooling air and reduce radiation surface area.

This may become a cooling issue if used hard and/or in a warm case.

Their appears to be little or no electrical/magnetic interaction between stacked toroids.

You are right Andrew, but toriods will hardly become hot in an audio amp at home unless the transformer is very small compared to the needed power.
