I was just wondering...
whenever you buy a discrete mosfet, the bulk (or back gate) terminal is always tied to the source, and thus any discrete mosfet is a three terminal device. Is there any reason why there aren't any four terminal mosfets out there, where the fourth terminal is the bulk? IC designers have access to the bulk, but not so in discrete devices. |
