I purchase (2) K4700 protection modules and put them together.
I tested them and they work fine. Don't worry about any signal quality loss. When the relay latches up it completes the chain between the amplifier and the speaker(s). They are very quick to detect DC also. I purchased mine for a Hybrid amplifier project. |

I used the K4700 in my Krell KSA50 clone and it works fine. I'd changed the relay to a good quality and put it off the board. It will not affect the signal quality.

As I did not want relays in the wiring, I have modified them to be detectors only... with a LED to display fault.
