Where can I find various sized insulated copper foil magnet wire? Preferrably in Sweden or at least Europe. To clarify, the kind of wire where one turn occupies the entire width of the coil former.

Hi,
I've never even seen that stuff around here. I usually make it. Take copper foil and wrap it in transformer insulation tape. Insulated foil ![]() If it's for low voltage/crossover, use packing tape for the insulation, it's cheaper. Cheers! |

I know at least one company that sells copper foil with Mylar insulation on one side. Specailly used in HF transformers. It's near my work in holland.
I'll try to track him down.

zilog,
I found the manufacturer for transformer copper foil: CMC in Germany http://www.cmc-klebetechnik.de/ Interesting stuff really... They have a sales representative in Finland, but maybe you can order directly from the factory.
