has anyone tried both solutions? or maybe know of a site that has tried both?
since I'm not familiar with relay attenuators, I was thinking that maybe the signal passes through all that semiconductors + relay. thank you. |

Relay attenuators invariably use miniature reed relays. The contacts are normally gold/rhodium plated with a bulk resistance of less than 30mR.
Hard to beat that with any other switch, especially after 100,000,000 operations - and no semicinductors are involved at all. Cliff Big reed-relay fan. |
