Default extruded aluminum boxes

anyone knows a cheaper alternative to hammond? i'm looking for something like this Box . it would be best with 4 smaller screws on the sides and not like hammond does it.

I researched this a while ago and found that hammond really is the cheapest for this style enclosure. Every other extrusion company wanted 50-100% more than typical hammond prices even without the endplates.

If anyone know something that I dont please enlighten.

You can buy rectangluar tubing, cut it to length, drill corner holes and make rectangular covers from aluminum sheet or PCB stock.

Default Parts Express "Heat Sink Box"

ahhhh...once again, check out the parts express heat sink box.

It even has the screws on all 4 corners just like you asked (but they are not tapped so you must tap the holes, #6-32 will work).

I'm sure it is much cheaper than hammond but they have hammond too so you can see.

link- http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=262-076

search "heat sink box" to see the other sizes.

Click the image to open in full size.

Note- the endplates are steel, not aluminum. Not sure if you care but there you have it. Here is my project made using that box.

EDIT- I see you are not in USA. There is a place in Germany that has similar (and better) extrusion boxes. But I deleted that link, sorry. If I find it i'll post.
