Question Doubler question

Got this off the web. How do I calculate capacitor values, and specifically, Coutput vs. C1/C2 ratio.

Hi,
would the standard 2mF per amp be approriate here?

Doublers are real hard on ripple and need big capacitance for even small output currents.

I'm inclined towards 2mF/A on C and 4mF/A on C1 & C2, followed by regulation to reduce the ripple and the seriously sagging voltage as current demand goes up.

Can psud2 handle this?

Oh, so C would be smaller than the other two caps...
