Got this off the web. How do I calculate capacitor values, and specifically, Coutput vs. C1/C2 ratio.

Hi,
would the standard 2mF per amp be approriate here? Doublers are real hard on ripple and need big capacitance for even small output currents. I'm inclined towards 2mF/A on C and 4mF/A on C1 & C2, followed by regulation to reduce the ripple and the seriously sagging voltage as current demand goes up. Can psud2 handle this?
