I am considering building a media controller for my room. It is basically a wall plate with a 5" LCD touchscreen inside that is wirelessly connected to my computer. I might also consider building one or two more for anyone who is interested. I am mounting mine flush against the wall, but could also make a more picture frame-esque kind of build up.
Basically, the screen would show the same thing as the computer monitor, but would use a touchscreen. You could control your tunes, movies, etc., even check email and such, via the controller, from across the room. I might sell these units for $400-$500, depending on demand. I'm just wondering, before I begin making, is anyone interested? |
