If you are building amps and need some good things in and around the Toronto area:
I was at Sayal Electronics @ Matheson/Dixie yesterday and they have two full length sticks NEW of aluminum extrusion looking something like the attached pic. 6 feet long each going for $70~$80 ea and there was another profile there but a little old and beat looking, still very good. At Active surplus on Queen Street their is still a nice pile of toroidal XMFRs 180VA- 800VA $15-$25 ea. Also saw some fresh Hammond stock of E XFMRs with two output secondary 100V-1A and 75V-2A, perhaps good for tube lovers who like to double or tripple voltage. $15 ea. No bells on these trannies. My numbers may be a little off as I did not write it down but still you can save big$$ on these purchases. Happy hunting and buying. I hope this helps ya! Shawn. |
