Default how do I mount a large cap (2.5in D x 5in H) without using a clamp?

and still be able to replace it if needed.

I have thought of glue (jb weld) but that seems like a permanent mount.

the caps I'm talking about as ASC motor runs so maybe they don't need replacing at all?

RTV silicone sealant. You can cut it with a knife.
Or, tie it to the mounting board or panel with a tie-wrap (or waxed cotton cord if you're old-school).
