how do i solder a stereo mini plug?

im tryin to fix the wires on my mx450 so i snipped and wire-stripped its end. each channel has 2 wires: blue + copper color and red + copper color on the other. on the stereo mini plug i see 3 holes, how am i supposed to solder on to them?
is there some picture guide online i can follow? cos i tried finding and didnt find any

Welcome ffrr,

Bind the copper wire together and solder to the ground lip.
One of the other wires goes to the ring, the second one to the tip.
I have no idea, which color is left, and which is right channel, a little experimenting will reveal.

hey netlist, thanks for the quickie reply

but wat do u mean by ring and tip? i know the ground, it's the largest piece the other side of the jack. but the other 2 look identical, one is connected to something round (the ring?) and the other is connected to something i cant see. so the tiny circles are for ease of soldering wires onto them right?

In your case a small ohm meter would come in handy...
