A friend of mine having problem printing boards, it doesnt matter if hes printing directly or making a pdf.
The board always gets too small, not to scale at all, wrong settings somewhere? I can print boards myself, in the correct size, but i cant find anywhere to fix his problem..

If he is having problems with the film from a PDF file being slightly too small or large check the settings in the PDF format. For example it is not enough for the zoom window to be 100%. If you open up the zoom window and check at the bottom make sure the 'actual size' is checked and not the 'fit width' or 'fit page' - you will not have a true 100%, it will be slightly off - I learned this the hard way. Also, after you print the film but before exposing and etching, place a couple of componets on the film as a double check, terminal blocks and dip chips work well.
Hopefully that will do it... edit: Also, the scale factor in Eagle should be 1. |
