Hi All. I'm new here so please be patient with me. I am busy building a set of speakers with a built-in amp (you can see my system design in this thread: Help with ar.com kit from madisound). The amp only has one input but I need to play audio from a DVD player, computer and auxiliary source as well as output to either the amp or to my headphones. I would rather not use any switches. I came across some wiring diagrams on Shavano Music Online (http://colomar.com/Shavano/patchbox.html) and modified it to take 3 inputs and added a switched jack to the output. My design is as follows:
![]() Is this okay? Will there be any sound degradation as a result of the resistors? Must all the grounds in the image be linked to each other? Thanks, Rob |

You might want to use some DC blocking caps just before the three inputs, to make sure there is no DC current between any of the devices attached. The rest will work, as far as I can see.

Thanks. I will see if my electronics shop has any of those. Does one join them to the wiring and, if so, do I need to put one on each of the incoming wires?
