It has to be said, I got simmilar results as long as you don't press to hard <sqish> and make sure you quench the board well after the pressing.
I was particulaly impressed with how tiny the gaps I made were, very minature and all that.
If you don't like the idea of press 'n' peel there's always a conductive pen, but these are pricey or Farnell do some 'inkject' printer foil which is supposed to work well?
