Hi,
I'm looking for a high quality (not high price) source selector to go along with my DACT CT2 attenuator. The DACT selector is too expensive ($80). Anything around $20-40 range that is just as good? Thanks. |

Grayhill from Digi Key is good and still reasonably priced.

Cnetralab is an old company. They made rotary switches that put the current crop to shame. These are ceramic wafered, silver contacts, ball bearing types.
Ebay is a good source, a nice 4 - 6 position, 2 pole, non-shorting might run 3 - 4 dollars. I have used 4 pole for 2 pole and doubled up the contacts. I bought a box full a while back, should never need a selector again. The 2000 series are steatite, ceramic. The 1000 series are phenolic wafer. I have used the Elma in a cople preamps in the past, the Centralab are better in my opinion. Less noise, and smoother operation. George |
