I have some early seventies Sprague orange epoxied 0u1F 600v caps. They are (roughly) cylindrical 1" long and 1/2" wide (and look edible
I replaced my Mundorf M-caps with them and the difference is subtle. I can't tell whether I prefer them or I am just playing what I have read so many times. Reality check please? |

They should have a 2 circled along with either a 715P
or 718P for them to be true Orange drops. As I recall the 715P are polyproplyle and the 718P are polyester types... Steve @ Apex Jr. |

I see, Vishay has the term orange drop copyrighted on their current line of caps. The thing is, I thought the Sprague legend started long ago?

Vishay bought Spraque and sold off some of there lines.
I'm buying new the 30D series(450V) spraque line from Barker Microfarads who bought some of the line. Others too bought some of the lines too. Steve @ Apex Jr. |
